This Sunday at 2am, the UK reverts back to Greenwich Mean Time. So for the few of you who don’t have a clever device that will do it for you, remember to turn your clocks back an hour! Aside from the extra hour of sleep, Daylight Savings Time means we’ll get bright mornings, but the evenings will stay dark and gloomy until Spring.
The best thing about this time of year is that our lovely designer lamps that have been neglected all Summer can finally get the attention they deserve! When used effectively, lighting can change the entire look of a room. A lamp can bring warmth to a cold hall or add drama to a tired bedroom, and an ornate chandelier can make for an amazing feature piece. Here we’re showcasing some of our absolute favourite pieces, which we know you’ll just love!
1. Authentic Feather VITA Eos Shade
We absolutely adore our new shades from VITA, made from real goose feather and available in grey and white. They’re completely unique and can be used with a pendant or a tripod. Effortlessly cool!
One of my personal favourites. Gold is massively on trend right now, and it’s used really effectively to give this industrial design a contemporary twist. Stand it beside an armchair or sofa to use as an oversized reading light.
The contrasting white shade and natural wood stand gives the Star Floor Lamp a beautiful simplicity. Influenced by Scandinavian design, it looks fantastic in a contemporary home.
4. Eichholtz Las Palmas Table Lamp
If you’re looking for more of an ambient light, then this one is for you! The Las Palmas Table Lamp is as sculptural as it is functional and the light reflecting off the golden palm leaves gives off an amazing glow.
The tactile quality and calm sage colour of our new Ariel Table Lamp makes me think of a coral reef or shimmering fish scales. A pair used as bedside lamps would look absolutely stunning.
We love rose gold! It’s such a beautiful colour and it works so well with the super contemporary shape of the Mia Desk Lamp. Its petite nature means that it’s perfect for adding a bit of glam to a workspace. Fab!
