As 2023 comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate some of the most talented and innovative interior designers we have adored this year at Sweetpea & Willow. Our founders have hand-selected their Top 10 Interior Designers of 2023 that embody captivating, sophisticated and timeless designs, and we wanted to share them all with you!

NAINOA
Embodying a blend of natural textures and opulent materials, Noa Santos’ New York-based design studio combines serenity and luxe minimalism to create an upscale yet relaxing space. Maintaining an inviting interior is at the heart of Noa’s work, cementing his belief on the importance of having a house that works for the way you live, a mindset which our editors adore at Sweetpea & Willow.
OWL
Owl Interior Design was founded in 2014 by Sophie van Winden and Simone Gordon who both shared a strong passion for styling and interiors. Their design work celebrates individuality with a refined attention to detail that remains relevant, whilst also embracing bold and uplifting qualities. We simply adore the timeless design work by this exquisite East-London based studio.
STUDIO HESSAIN
Scarlett Hessain’s design work boasts a timeless mix of rustic textures and lasting sophistication that we are head over heels for. Based between London and Copenhagen, Scarlett’s work is inspired by vintage designs which focus on spotlighting unique pieces and marrying aspects that come together to form exquisite interiors - architecture, materials and people.
COVET NOIR
Combining class with sentimentality, Maria Lindgren and Adele Lonergan founded their Chelsea-based interiors studio, Covet Noir, in 2018. Maria and Adele work hard to create luxurious spaces that suit their clients individual lifestyles, while paying homage to the architectural heritage and treasured mementos of the properties they work with. At Sweetpea & Willow, our editors were thoroughly inspired by their clean cut and sophisticated aesthetic this year.
STUDIO PEAKE
Sarah Peake’s London-based interior design studio specialises in creating innovative and highly tailored spaces, interweaving a splendour of tradition and imagination to set apart a house from a home, which our editors at Sweetpea & Willow absolutely adore. Her work brings spaces to life by involving a playful blend of opposites and interplay between old and new, cementing an element of surprise with a dash of unexpected colour and detailing.
OLIVER BURNS
An award-winning luxury architectural interior design studio that creates exceptionally elegant spaces synonymous with a luxury lifestyle, Oliver Burns Studio is one that we have fallen in love with. Harnessing a prestigious portfolio of international projects, penthouses, listed heritage buildings and lakeside villas, Oliver Burns Studio collaborates with artisans to create a quietly luxurious space that is felt, not formulaic, through clean lines and softly sculptured designs.
TAYLOR HOWES
Taylor Howes Design Studio was established in 1993 by Karen Howes, seeking to spotlight the work and talents of artisans across the UK, cementing their status as a ‘Great British Brand’. For over 25 years, Karen has established herself and her brand as part of the creative heart of London, bringing thoughtful and innovative designs to homes and establishments across the world - an achievement we are keen to celebrate.
ELICYON
Elicyon was established in 2014 by Charu Gandhi, seeking to showcase her thoughtfulness and luxury vision in her work by creatively capitalising on mindful, historical and cultural influences, composed from a life of wonder, adventure and artistry. We celebrate Charu’s work across London, America and the Middle East for harnessing the realisation of extraordinary detail and unrivalled dedication to material, minutiae and modernity.
JANINE STONE & CO
Inspired by the finery of her mothers’ dress shop, Janine and her husband and business partner Gideon established their company with a goal to create beautifully bespoke homes suited for fast-paced family living, across the world from London to New York. Janine sees that each project is thoughtfully followed through from concept to completion, ensuring a personal and exceptional service for all their clients - an ethos that we truly adore.
